Harry Williams served in the Merchant Navy for 23 years from cadet to Master on product and chemical tankers. The last 10 years of his seagoing career was spent sailing as Master having been first promoted to master just before his 30th birthday.
The last 12 years up to achieving OCIMF SIRE Category 1 accreditation in January 2011, were spent in a variety of roles within ship management including as Marine Superintendent, Operations Manager, Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Operations Director. He is a fully qualified ISM, ISO and ISPS Lead Auditor and has wide experience of writing, implementing and auditing ship management systems. Harry is also experienced in carrying out TMSA management reviews. He has actively worked with a number of Oil Majors in promoting shipboard safety culture and graduated as a BSc (Nautical Science) by distant learning.
