An accredited OCIMF SIRE Category 1 inspector and Lead Auditor, until recently Colin was employed by an oil major responsible for ship inspections, vetting and clearance of voyage and term charters. This included operator audits and reviews (TMSA), vessel audits (ISM/ISPS) and contractor (ISO 9001:2008) audits. Previously he served as Master for 20 years on Chemical, product, ULCC and VLCC tankers.
In a varied career, Colin has carried out loss control work on oil cargoes, offshore warranty surveys and cargo loss and contamination investigations. He also worked for some years for a well known commodity trader looking after marine matters including chartering, shipping logistics and distribution.
He lives in Northamptonshire, with easy access to 6 major airports, good golf courses, Northampton Rugby and the joys of country living. He has been married for 41 years and has one son. He is a keen gardener and walker.
