Captain Wiseman has wide experience in various worldwide trades, serving as Master on various types of vessel. He has extensive experience with the shipment and care of bulk, dangerous and liquid cargoes, supplemented by a background training in general cargo transhipment, plus hands-on ship handling proficiency.
Since 1990 he has gained extensive shore based experience in marine surveying and consultancy, which has included condition surveys, casualty investigations and damage surveys, cargo claims and marine legal work. He also became an accredited SIRE & CDI ship vetting inspector. He retains a formal contract for occasional employment as a Marine Advisor with British Petroleum, as well as being an associate of several Marine Consultancies.
Captain Wiseman returned to Command between 1999 & 2004. He has taken up two short-term employment opportunities with BP (Superintendent) and Northern Marine (Master, Fast Ferry) prior to resuming independent consultancy in October 2005.
