Ian Wilkinson served in the Merchant Navy for 27 years and worked on an eclectic variety of merchantmen including general cargo ships, refrigerated cargo, car carriers, gas carriers, chemical parcel tankers, crude oil carriers and oil product tankers.
After sailing for 12 years as Master, Ian came ashore in 2002, and gained accreditation as an OCIMF SIRE Category 1 Inspector to inspect all types of vessel.
Ian is based in the North-West of England, and is within easy reach of Manchester International Airport.
