Brian Roberts "hung up his seaboots" at the end of 2001 after spending 31 years at sea of which the last 18 years was as Master mainly on chemical and product tankers.
Throughout this time he gained experience of a wide range of shipping including chemical tankers, dry and bulk cargo ships, car carriers, 250,000 OBOs and VLCCs. After a few years working on supply vessels in the North Sea, he went on to specialize in chemical and product tankers, taking command in 1983. During this time, Brian has overseen the onboard implementation of some of the most sweeping legislative and managerial changes ever known in tanker tonnage.
Brian is accredited to carry out SIRE inspections and, from his Midlands base, he has good access to all UK ports and is within easy reach of Birmingham International Airport and the whole of Europe.
